Nexus 1, 2, 3 & 4 are sample-based synthesizers (rompler) that, according to ReFX themselves, are actually more than just romplers. Manuel has done over 50 sampling CD's as Vengeance Sound, along with various other producers. Starting 2014, Schleis has abandoned making EDM tracks, to focus on his passion of producing soundsets with recorded samples only.
In 2016 his new line of VST Plugins, called "Vengeance Producer Suite", was released (in cooperation with audio software company Keilwerth Audio).Īdditionally Manuel Schleis works as a tutor for "dance production" for example the "Roland Synth2Sound Tour", "SAE" & "Musikmesse Frankfurt". They're the same samples I've already got 20 times over in other sample packs and stolen off other ppl's records, they're just (mostly) nicely edited and cleaned up - which is a tedious job and not why I make music.He worked together with DJ Manuel Reuter (DJ Manian, danceformation Cascada, also Spencer & Hill) and has produced many club hits and remixes for Sugababes, Moby, Scooter (band), Axwell, Public Enemy, and Tiësto. For hats, snares and claps you can use straight off, they're really useful. The Vengeance guys are certainly in that category.)Īctually the bassdrums are the big weaknesses with their stuff I find - still require a lot of work. (A lot of House producers will only have maybe 5 or 6 bassdrum samples they use regularly but they'll know how to work with them. Look through ALL the single hits and most the loops on their packs and they're really only using a tiny selection of core bassdrums, claps and hats. The thing with the Vengeance sets is they're really not doing anything special. So many producers giving you the crap they'll never use off their harddrives. There were some great early sample CDs - like Megabass and Zero-G Datafiles - but after that you got so much crap. Which is simply quite consistent and usable quality. I think they're what all Sample CDs should've been right from the beginning.
